INSTRUCTIONS
The American Azteca Year-End High Point Award Program is for registered AAHIA American Azteca horses. Owner(s) listed on the front of the horses certificate must be a full member in good standing. Programs should run consecutively with show season beginning from Jan 1st – Dec 31st of the current show year. There is no additional fees to enter the program. Your full membership allows you into the program.
Points may be earned at any of the following to be considered for Year-End Awards: Points may be earned at any show or event regardless of Society. Which include but not limited to, Open shows, Breed Shows, Local saddle club shows, 4-H shows, IALHA shows, USDF, USEF, Etc. Points earned will be for placing or participation not both. Only one Point section will count towards Year-End Award totals. All results will be verified, any falsified placing's will result in disqualification. Points are for Horse only. The horse MAY have multiple horse/handler combinations for a show year. Points will ONLY follow the horse.
Year-End High Point Awards are in the following divisions:
Horses MUST be at least 3 years of age to compete under saddle
#1 Halter – All ages and sexes. (Open and Breed Shows)
#2 Performance – This award is for horses competing in a particular discipline.
Including but not limited to: Competitive driving, Reining, Eventing, Western, English, Competitive trail rides, Working Equitation, etc. All ages and sexes. (Open and Breed Shows)
#3 Dressage – This award is given specifically for dressage shows. All ages and sexes.(Open and Breed Shows)
#4 Exhibitions – Parades, expos,clinics. Check with us to see if your event qualifies. All ages and sexes.
Points Achievement Scale: Points are awarded to the horse only and will follow the horse for the show year. Points are based on number of placings. For example, if there were 6 ribbons awarded, and you receive first place, you will be awarded 200 points. If you receive 6th place, you receive 25 point. If you participate, and are not awarded any placing, you will receive 15 points. Points are doubled for Championship classes.

Forms Needed Are:
Year-End Award Entry Form: Must be filled out and American Azteca horses must be registered with the American Azteca International Horse Association (AAHIA) for consideration. Owner(s) listed on the certificate will also need to be a full members at the time of Entry form submission.
Point Verification Form: Enter results onto Point Verification Form at each show or event. Complete all category boxes including the class name & number. Be sure to include the Show Secretary’s name, phone number and email address as results must be verified to count towards the Year-End Awards. Email results (see above instructions), or mail a copy to the Year-End Award. We recommend the Verification Form be submitted by the 10th of each month. Points will become final January 15th. Personal Record Log: A Personal Record log is provided to each registrant, which includes the rules, award categories & point system. Space is provided on the form to allow participant to enter information on all events attended and points accumulated throughout the year. Please do not send Personal Record Log to the AAHIA.
Year-End Point Results: The monthly results will be on the AAHIA website. They must be received by the 10th of each month to be included in the update. www.americanazteca.com/showing.html. Any discrepancy must be brought to the AAHIA Show Secretary no later than January 15th, After that date, all results are final.
